DirkvandenBol Posted November 13, 2016 Share #1 Posted November 13, 2016 Hello, I'm searching for WW2 period pictures of the Diamond T 969a wrecker. We're restoring our Diamond T and I would like to have some pictures so that I an example on how it looked like during active duty. Hopefully someone can help me with this. Mr.Jerry Posted November 13, 2016 Share #2 Posted November 13, 2016 I will see what I can find. My uncle drove a wrecker as part of the 541st Heavy Maint. Btln. in Europe. I am just not sure it was the same type. He said that we was able to drive just about every tank the Americans and Germans had.
DirkvandenBol Posted November 14, 2016 Author Share #3 Posted November 14, 2016 Mr. Jerry, That would be great. Thank you! I think this would be a Warld la France m1a1 or a m26 Pacific. But this would also be great to see. I will see what I can find. My uncle drove a wrecker as part of the 541st Heavy Maint. Btln. in Europe. I am just not sure it was the same type. jagjetta Posted November 17, 2016 Share #4 Posted November 17, 2016 Dirk: Here's a Signal Corps image of a 969 pulling out a German tank. Keep 'em rolling, John
