swag Posted November 3, 2016 Share #1 Posted November 3, 2016 This travel trunk was found in a local museum's collection. Identified to Lieutenant Charles W. Zenker who served with the 4th Regiment, 29th Division. The trunk has many newspaper clippings and a few photos glued inside the trunk lid. Pretty neat travel trunk from the WW1 era. everforward Posted November 3, 2016 Share #7 Posted November 3, 2016 That's a fantastic piece.... Thanks for sharing..!! So this officer was in the 4th Infantry Regiment, Virginia National Guard before it was absorbed into the 116th Infantry. Likely this fellow saw action on the Mexican Border as well. From there to Camp McClellan and then to France.
