M-NU Emblem Refinisher

I have about half a bottle of M-NU that was in with some 1980 era cleaning rods, brushes, etc. I googled it and found it was "Emblem Re finisher". But no other description. How is it used and what kind of emblem, solid brass ones, or ? Thanks for info. Richard

I think M Nu was used to touch up black USMC devices when the paint was chipped

We also used it in the Army. It did not work very well and often left our subdued insignia looking like someone polished it with a Hershey bar.

 

Tried it once. Bought new insignia when needed after that.

Yes I too bought a bottle back then and with the same results as described in earlier posts, I think it is lying in a junk box in garage dried up now. I was thinking this was marketed by Ken Nolan company in their catalog. I ended getting better results with flat black spray can paint.

Also used to touch up/blacken the eyelets on the black leather boots.
