Korean War Era L-1A Flightsuit Help - 1st A.P.O.

I am trying to stay on the modern side of collecting, but found this gem in my local surplus store for a cheap price. Seeing how this piece is named and nicely used, I couldn't leave it behind.

I won't lie, even though I do dabble with Korean War era items, USAF items are not my strong suit. Does anyone have a clue as to what the 1/st A.P.O. was? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Suit isn't mint by any stretch of the imagination and does have holes on the back side from where he was sitting down or his legs were rubbing against something. Also has some dirt and small stains as to be expected from wear.

All zippers are intact and working properly.

Here is the airman's name tape sewn directly to the flight suit. No other patches have been sewn to or removed from the suit.

I posted it over on the USMF Facebook page and a nice gentleman said he thought APO stood for the 1st Aerial Port Operations. The 1st APO was activated in 1952 at Dyess AFB in Texas. The date of activation fits in nicely with the time period the flightsuit was used.
