hirsca Posted October 27, 2016 #1 Posted October 27, 2016 Went to the estate sale of the wife of: Major James G. Riddle, US Army O-947767 B: 9 Sep 24 D: 23 Sep 05 WW2-Korea-Viet Nam DFW National Cemetery Section 14F, Site 139 Nothing in the ES write-up about any military items, but found these. For me, a most unusual bring back item was---a Japanese shoe brush with Kanji writing. It was in the Major's shoe polish kit. Also found a 48 star casket/burial flag. Not his I wouldn't think. Maybe a relative. Just starting researching his career. If anyone has any info on him, please respond. Thanks, Al
stealthytyler Posted October 27, 2016 #3 Posted October 27, 2016 There sure is some good stuff to be found in the DFW! Nice find!
hirsca Posted October 27, 2016 Author #4 Posted October 27, 2016 Thanks. Should we have a contest for the most unusual bring back item of the year? No gold teeth please. Al
