Just picked this one up having a tough time identifying, looks like the motto is in hebrew? Any help would be appreciated

That's a neat DI and one I have not come across before. I was stumped myself trying to figure out what unit it belonged to but have finally figured it out.

It is the DI for the 90th Field Artillery Battalion with the DI sample being approved February 1955. The motto is Wiwo ole (courage) and it has the characteristics of being an East Asian manufactured piece. Of course it dates from the Korean war era, mid to late 50's.

The 90th FA was originally constituted October 1933 in the Regular army. They were redesignated 90th FA Bn. and assigned to the 25th Division in August 1941 and then activated October 1941 at Schofield Barracks in Hawaii. They were inactivated in Hawaii 16 years later in February 1957.

Thanks for the info I believe it is Asian Made, is it possible this unit was active for a short time. It came with some late 40s Insignia

The 90th was active in both WWII and the Korean conflict. The DI definitely dates from their time in Korea. Note the charge in the upper right corner (in sinister chief, in heraldic terms). It is a Korean temple which signifies their service in that conflict.

Of note is the three palm branch wreaths which symbolize their WWII service in Guadalcanal, the Central Pacific and the Luzon campaigns.
