Wedgehead30 Posted October 14, 2016 Share #1 Posted October 14, 2016 I found this in my inventory while cleaning out today. I originally got it from another dealer. We were both on the fence as to it's originality. I meant to take it to the MAX show but completely forgot about it. It's made of five separate pieces of stiff leather and as you can see pretty crudely constructed.

stealthytyler Posted October 14, 2016 Share #3 Posted October 14, 2016 I don't like all those scratch lines. They all seem to be similar in shape and size. Just my 2 cents!
Bill Scott Posted October 14, 2016 Share #4 Posted October 14, 2016 Without holding it in hand I like the look of it and think its real.Just my three cents worth, I found a penny on the ground today.Scotty
doyler Posted October 14, 2016 Share #5 Posted October 14, 2016 To me it looks like the back was intentionally darkened.
Patchcollector Posted October 15, 2016 Share #6 Posted October 15, 2016 I'm no expert with the leather AAF Squadron pieces, but there's something about this patch that looks kind of "funky" to me.As stealthytyler stated the "age" marks look to have been done with a screwdriver and/or punch. The white lightning bolt has no damage, and since it is on the top "layer",that seems odd.And with all the "age" marks the paint looks great,no chipping or any scratched off.As doyler stated the back looks like it has been treated with something.Just my two pesos.
