72newport Posted September 27, 2008 Share #1 Posted September 27, 2008 Gents, Heres a couple of pics of todays latest acquisition! (All for $30) Nice near mint late war musette bag w/strap and boxed lighting kit, missing some components. Any info on the medical lighting set appreciated. gtpcamaroz Posted September 27, 2008 Share #5 Posted September 27, 2008 Wow, that is very interesting and not a bad price for everything.
vzemke Posted September 28, 2008 Share #6 Posted September 28, 2008 Light Sets identical to the one you have are still in the US Army inventory (yes, Active Duty!). They come in a set of two trunks. The only part that is not expendable is the box, everthing else can be ordered through the Class IX (Maintenance Repair Parts) supply system. You are missing quite a few parts, looks like all the cables are gone. I had a set in my Platoon when I was a PL, but we never really used them as they were a complete pain in the rear to set up. They are not specifically a Medical item, all types of units have them. I hope this helps, Vance
gwb123 Posted September 28, 2008 Share #7 Posted September 28, 2008 Engineer units use them as well. And I saw these being used in the 1980's... I am sure they have not changed much. Its one of those classic things in the US Army inventory that works well, so why change it?
72newport Posted September 28, 2008 Author Share #8 Posted September 28, 2008 Thanks guys! I may rig a few of these from the ceiling in a track lighting fashion, as the OD shades will be perfect.
