7.62mm machine gun rod handles

I received two cleaning rod handles for US 7.62mm machine guns such as the M60 and M240. According to Bill Ricca the tool which looks like a M10 combination tool minus the tooling at the ends is for the M60. When was the issue start time by approx. year for these cleaning rod handles? Was the handle on the left the first handle issued with the M60 cleaning rod? If it was, how long was it used till the one on the right started to replace it? If it was not the first issued handle for the M60 cleaning rod, what did handle for the M60 cleaning rod was used circa early/mid 1960s? Thanks in advance to anyone who can help me create a accurate time line for my weapon accessories. My M60 manual circa 1963 pics of the cleaning rod is too small for me to make out handle details.
