Phfly1010 Posted October 7, 2016 Share #1 Posted October 7, 2016 This flight suit was listed online as post-world War II. I know a little about reading United States Army Air Force labels, and I think I see enough to say that it could have been made during World War II (8300/33 reference), but then again I'm not sure they made nylon flight suits during World War II. Any advice would be appreciated. Just trying to confirm whether it could have been used during World War 2 by the USAAF or definitely post World War 2. Navybean Posted October 8, 2016 Share #3 Posted October 8, 2016 I believe the K-2'came out mid to late 1945. I believe your suit could be dated from just post WW2 with the AF order number.
BlueBookGuy Posted October 8, 2016 Share #4 Posted October 8, 2016 Not sure why that 8300 reference, however the K-2 pattern only is post-WW2. Or at least, it has been never used during wartime. No nylon flight suit saw service in WW2, maybe none of them was even designed still in that period.
