smwinter207 Posted October 3, 2016 Share #1 Posted October 3, 2016 Is this a USAF, thai made arc for a boonie? It has that maag look, but different. ThanksS
vintageproductions Posted October 3, 2016 Share #2 Posted October 3, 2016 It could be for either one, but usually if it is for MAAG it will say MAAG-THAILAND

Randy Posted October 3, 2016 Share #4 Posted October 3, 2016 I have this same patch from a guy that was in the 8th TFW at Ubon, Thailand. Randy
Randy Posted October 3, 2016 Share #5 Posted October 3, 2016 Per PM request, my arc and some of the items that came with it. From the estate of a retired USAF Lt Col that flew F-4s with the 433d out of Ubon in 1969. All Thai made. The Satan's head was directly embroidered into the flight suit, and was removed by the veteran. There were about 20 patches in the group, but I have them scattered throughout several binders. This gives a good idea though of what was worn then. Randy

all-bull Posted October 5, 2016 Share #8 Posted October 5, 2016 S, Like Bob said, it could be for either one, but note how yours doesn't quite have the angle to fit over a MAAG patch. Still a nice crisp Thai made example. Keep up the good work!
nguoi tien su Posted October 16, 2016 Share #9 Posted October 16, 2016 It is definitely for a bush hat. It is much rounder that the MAAG arc. Those were made by OK Shop in Ubon.
nguoi tien su Posted October 16, 2016 Share #10 Posted October 16, 2016 Here is an example posted earlier, showing the very specific design of those arcs: http://www.usmilitariaforum.com/forums/index.php?/topic/153699-thailand-yellow-green-arc-for-boonie-hat/
