Picked this one up recently depicting the backbone of the US homefront work force: the American woman. Published in 1943 for the Office of War Information (OWI #55). Measures 22" x 16" by famed illustrator George Rapp. It must've been one of Rapp's final projects as he passed away in 1942. Thanks for looking.

Very nice.

 

Despite the use of women war workers in WWI, the government had to campaign against the stigma of women working outside of the home in WWII.
