Unknown Bullion Navy Rate? Help Needed

I recently picked this rate up for my collection but i can't figure out what it is, it looks like the civil war rates but the construction of it dosent appear to be civil war! Does anyone have any idea of when this rate is from and if so what is it for ? Thanks in advance! Images are from the seller so they are not the best!

Looks like a US Naval Academy chevron

It's Platoon First Class Petty Officer, U.S. Naval Academy. (This may also include Navy ROTC.)

Thanks everyone for chiming in so quickly do we know the age on it? I was thinking pre-ww2 comparing it to my other rates!

It looks modern to me, but I'm no expert on the age of some of this stuff. I have one for a Mustering Chief PO and it looks about like yours.

There was a closer photo of the bullion still a little blurry but compared to my other navy rates the bullion looked like my ww2 and pre war examples! i know that dosent mean anything really but comparatively speaking! I guess we will have to wait till i have it in hand and then i can really tell!!
