ram957 Posted September 1, 2016 Share #1 Posted September 1, 2016 I recently acquired a fuel access door that was dug up at Kingman. I believe it may be from a B-17 but I'm not 100% sure. It was found in the proximity of a Boeing gas cap. Anyone know for sure ?

5thwingmarty Posted September 7, 2016 Share #3 Posted September 7, 2016 I have an identical one also dug up at Kingman. They probably tossed these aside when they were opening the tanks to drain the planes before scrapping them. I was given mine by a former B-17 flight engineer and he said it was from a B-17.
