limestone Posted November 15, 2008 Share #28 Posted November 15, 2008 Thought this one would be of interest too for the tactical marking emplacement at the back of "Vixen Tor". Yannick

J_Andrews Posted April 10, 2010 Share #31 Posted April 10, 2010 Re Post #12: Several of the unit designations are anachronistic. During WWII, the Divisional MPs were not a COMPANY; they were a large PLATOON within Div HQ Co The Recon would be the 29th Recon TROOP (Cavalry branch) The 129th AA Bn was not an organic element of the Div until 1949, Stateside in the NG. There a few non-divisional AAA Bns that were ATTACHED to the 29th off and on -- 459th and 554th. There was no "Heavy Tank Battalion", assigned during WWII. Again there were a few N-D Tk Bns, off and on, in ATTACHED status.

Johan Willaert Posted November 25, 2011 Share #37 Posted November 25, 2011 Thanks! It's not perfect and has many flaws as it was restored between 1986 and 1988 with the info, books and parts that were available back then... and believe me that wasn't much... But this was my first car and the first vehicle I ever restored, so it still is rather special to me... And I have over 28 years of memories in that Jeep ... It's a man's toy....
