Wartime Toymaking Guide

Here is a nice wartime dated (Nov.-Dec. 1943) guide featuring plans for making wooden toys. I especially like it because of the tommy gun and rifle on the cover! Inside are the plans for the two guns, an armed freighter, an aircraft carrier, and an anti-tank gun. The guide is part of a series put out by the Delta Mfg. Company of Milwaukee, which manufactured power tools.

Hi, Neat booklet! I use to enjoy making my boys toys similar to those that are pictured in the plans. One of their birthdays I ran off a dozen little tanks for party favors--kids loved them. Plans for both tank and biplane came from a book published about 1970. I thought the designs clever then and still do.

Love the planes and tanks. With my wood working skills I don't think my tommy gun and shotgun would have turned out as nicely as the pictures.
