Curious as to what this insignia signifies, any idea?

Also my question, the liner is more akin to the 75th ID rather than the 69th ID and it does not look like any of their regiments. Perhaps he was in the 75th and later in the 69th?

Yes that was my observation too, 75th Div. Don't think it's for the 75th, maybe an inter unit thing within the 69th Div, Battalion?
