firefighter Posted August 24, 2016 Share #3 Posted August 24, 2016 Air Commandos were usually pilots flying theA-26, T-28, A-1 Skyraider's, etc. of the early Air Commando Squadrons. The AC-119, AC-47, & AC-130's were all part of the Air Commando/Special Operations community. PJ's(Pare-Jumpers) were the guys, enlisted, that would go into the jungle, water, or wherever to rescue downed pilots.Commonly know as ParaRescue .
