phantomfixer Posted August 16, 2016 Share #1 Posted August 16, 2016 These came in a lot from an Air Force member who enlisted in 1952, was a B-47 ground crewman, and retired at Dover AFB in 1972 as a navigator...still stitched together with the issue tag... mohawkALSE Posted September 2, 2016 Share #3 Posted September 2, 2016 Love the older OD green FRP-1 nomex gloves. Those were the kind my father had when he got to Vietnam in 1969 as a Army helicopter pilot. Ive managed to pick up a NOS pair myself.

Not rare but not common to find in the package....I couldn't resist...popped the thread and put them on...gray leather is nice...and the shorter cut I like too... mohawkALSE Posted September 4, 2016 Share #5 Posted September 4, 2016 I never un attached or worn the brand new ones. I forget if they are from 1969 or 1970. I do have a second pair I had got in a lot of stuff that were lightly used that I have worn. The leather is way softer on the FRP-1 gloves than the -2. I always roll them even up even shorter. Been nice to drive with. I have another new pair of them from 1974 as well.
