Glove, Flying, Summer in package 1970

These came in a lot from an Air Force member who enlisted in 1952, was a B-47 ground crewman, and retired at Dover AFB in 1972 as a navigator...still stitched together with the issue tag...

Love the older OD green FRP-1 nomex gloves. Those were the kind my father had when he got to Vietnam in 1969 as a Army helicopter pilot. Ive managed to pick up a NOS pair myself.

Dig it Mohawk....you wear yours? Not rare but not common to find in the package....I couldn't resist...popped the thread and put them on...gray leather is nice...and the shorter cut I like too...

I never un attached or worn the brand new ones. I forget if they are from 1969 or 1970. I do have a second pair I had got in a lot of stuff that were lightly used that I have worn. The leather is way softer on the FRP-1 gloves than the -2. I always roll them even up even shorter. Been nice to drive with. I have another new pair of them from 1974 as well.
