Ritman Posted August 16, 2016 Share #1 Posted August 16, 2016 I have a couple of these pictures. I have no idea what the Japanese (?) writing says. Any ideas? Thanks in advance for help in identifying this nose art. Jeff
northcoastaero Posted August 16, 2016 Share #2 Posted August 16, 2016 The aircraft looks to be a PB4Y-2 Privateer from WWII or the Korean War. I will look through some of my reference materials for the nose art.

northcoastaero Posted August 16, 2016 Share #4 Posted August 16, 2016 Two photos of this VPB-116 PB4Y-2 Privateer can be found on page 78 of the book: Consolidated-Vultee PB4Y-2 Privateer by Alan C. Carey. A 2005 Schiffer Military History Book. The translation is: Big Snow Propaganda or Big Show Propaganda. This Privateer had loudspeakers in the bomb bay to harass the enemy. This aircraft may have also had the name Dragon Lady. Not sure of the Bureau Number of the acft. June 1945 til end of war timeframe. Hope this helps.
