Dijkhuizen Posted August 13, 2016 Share #1 Posted August 13, 2016 Hello, I found this bag/case on Epay several weeks ago. After searching trough several USAAF gear books I couldn't find any information. Hope someone on the forum could tell me more about this bag. phantomfixer Posted August 17, 2016 Share #4 Posted August 17, 2016 Looking at the materials 1940's construction? maybe 1950's? Looks like a modern flight helmet bag design....This is a cool bag...why USN specific? are there other examples similar? totally dig it
jerry_k Posted August 17, 2016 Share #5 Posted August 17, 2016 Hi. Canvas is WW2 USN grey canvas used with parachute pack or M592 survival kit. Well know for any USN aviation collector. It looks like 100% custom made special for pilot or navigator person, one of the kind. Cheers, Jerry
phantomfixer Posted August 17, 2016 Share #6 Posted August 17, 2016 Maybe it is my pic but the canvas looks tan/kahki...not the grey canvas... will yield to your Navy knowledge... ... I like it too...
