mysteriousoozlefinch Posted February 18, 2020 Share #55 Posted February 18, 2020 For UNK 26: The Cam Ranh Bay MSTS office's motto was apparently "We Try Harder" per Sealift September 1968 https://books.google.com/books?id=0JfiaDpGklQC&pg=RA8-PA5&lpg=RA8-PA5&dq=sealift+%22We+Try+harder%22&source=bl&ots=M6Cxne7IZU&sig=ACfU3U0sWJwyl6xJ3jNv8pU17iarJtRZEg&hl=en&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwiXxJqEsdvnAhVClXIEHXA9CqgQ6AEwAHoECAkQAQ#v=onepage&q=sealift%20%22We%20Try%20harder%22&f=false
Allan H. Posted February 18, 2020 Share #56 Posted February 18, 2020 UNK 17- I played around with this one for quite some time, but I think I have it. ISHAANDEN is Danish for "Ice Hand" which is used to say "my hands are freezing." So, The patch is a mixture of Danish and Latin- "Hand of ice through difficulties to the scrotum." I would say this probably isn't a US patch, but some sort of joke from the Danish contingent to somewhere damned cold. Korea? The Arctic? The South Pole? Allan Never under-estimate the power of prayer.
