Simonmon Posted August 11, 2016 Share #1 Posted August 11, 2016 Hello all, I found it Adrian helmet flea market in France between the WW1 AEF camp of Gièvres and Vierzon. The badge reminds me and other people at the Coastal Artillery Corps. There are two crossed cannon and a shell in the center. What do you think ? In France no one really knows but the US is the answer that comes up most often. Simon.
gitana Posted August 11, 2016 Share #2 Posted August 11, 2016 I'd agree that the insignia looks like coast artillery, but the helmet color seems Belgian.
Andrew Posted August 11, 2016 Share #3 Posted August 11, 2016 The paint colour would also apply to French colonial troops.
Bugme Posted August 11, 2016 Share #4 Posted August 11, 2016 It has a chance of being a CAC helmet since that markings are similar and Americans arriving with the AEF early in WWI did not have helmets at first.
