mb399579 Posted August 10, 2016 Share #1 Posted August 10, 2016 Hello, I've found these 2 "Ivory Soaps" in a french flea market. I would like to know if they are from WW2 area, and if there'a any chance they could take place in a GI Footloocker ? Thanks Bertrand

R Michael Posted August 10, 2016 Share #3 Posted August 10, 2016 I agree. I've had WWII era Ivory soap and the packaging was different than your example. Mike

BEAST Posted August 10, 2016 Share #5 Posted August 10, 2016 You may not believe it, but there are several websites dedicated to Ivory soap. Here is one with a timeline of Ivory soap wrappers. http://www.underconsideration.com/brandnew/archives/floating_soap.php
gwb123 Posted August 10, 2016 Share #6 Posted August 10, 2016 Wow! Learn something new every day! Just by the styling I would have said it was pre-WWII, but there is your proof positive!

USdog Posted August 12, 2016 Share #8 Posted August 12, 2016 Looks like it has a patent date of 1879 so pre-ww1 as others said.
mb399579 Posted August 13, 2016 Author Share #9 Posted August 13, 2016 Hello, Thanks for the further information. It's difficult for me to make difference between the1917and 1921 on the picture psoted by Beast. IN fact, it seems to me there is only a size difference between the two productions.
