Lawdog Posted August 4, 2016 Share #1 Posted August 4, 2016 This grenade and issued cardboard canister were brought home by Captain JM Coulson USMCR. The wide surgical tape wrapped around the canister reads, "Has been completely taken apart. There is no explosives or dangerous mechanisms left in this enclosed grenade. JM Coulson Capt." Thus far, I have not been able to locate any records for a Captain J M Coulson. Sent from my LG-LS995 using Tapatalk
siege1863 Posted August 4, 2016 Share #2 Posted August 4, 2016 Your man may be Captain James M. CARLSON who appears in the USMC muster rolls in 1943 and 1944. In 1945, he has the rank of major.
