Here is another photo of a WAC officer from the same album as Dr Stephens. This lady was LTC Ella A Wilton. She was born in NJ on 14 Feb 1914 and died in PA on 22 Dec 2011.

She joined the WAC 7 Oct 1942 and retired in 1964.

This photo is from her obit, and is about 1964

On the Ca. 1944, it looks like WWII Victory, Women's Army Corps Service Medal, ETO with 2 campaign stars and American Campaign. Not sure about the obit photo.

KAT,

I think "Beast" is correct on her WW2 photo. The other photo was probably taken around the time she retired, except that her top ribbon appears to be the ARCOM. Below is the list from her Obit

"She received the Legion of Merit Medal, Army Commendation Medal, WAAC Service Medal, European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal, American Campaign Medal, World War II Victory Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Armed Forces Reserve Medal with 10 year Device, State of NJ Distinguished Service Medal"

She probably received the L of M at her retirement ceremony.
