I personally do not know..... but think it is a C124 cargo compartment, and I could be very wrong, and most likely I am..

C-46's didn't have square windows. The closest I can find for this combo is the HU-16 Abatross and that isn't correct.

Other guesses:

-C-82 Packet

-C-119 Flying Boxcar

-XC-120 Packplane (though it was scrapped?)

-A variant of one of the above?

Will do more research.

OK, I think it is a B-26 Marauder bomb bay forward bulkhead. There are a pair of forward facing seats for the radio operator and navigator forward of the bulkhead and one of those seats might be what we are actually looking at with missing skin. The windows may have been an executive conversion addition as some Marauders were modded after the war for this purpose. Here is a shot of Flak Bait's bulkhead. Whatchu think? Remember that this is looking aft, so some of the details might differ......

-A result of more research:

-PB4Y Privateer, possibly a firefighter? My best guess so far.

-PB2Y Coronado.

Too square.

Teamski-Nice ID. To me, phantomfixer's original image of the interior looked roomier than what I thought a PBY would be. The PB4Y Privateer had similar square windows also. Now we know what it is.
