dan Posted July 20, 2016 Share #1 Posted July 20, 2016 July 20th 1976, I started pushing Ft. Dix into the ground. Basic training with E-3-3, Echo Company, 3rd BN, 3rd BDE. Did 4 years active duty then got out. Joined the National Guard in 1988 and still in. All in all it's been good to me, more good times than bad. Guess I'm just feeling sentimental today, or old, or both. Dan

gomorgan Posted July 21, 2016 Share #6 Posted July 21, 2016 When we got off that bus in the middle of the night and they started on us, I felt like I was going ashore. It was one of the better things that happened to me and I learned more life lessons in the military in short time than I'd learned in 19 years before that, but all and all a very positive experience.
