WWII_GI Posted July 19, 2016 Share #1 Posted July 19, 2016 Saw this one recently, it is named to a Captain John T. Livingston O-339887. I was wondering why it was marked "For indefinite storage" and "For effects." What does all that mean? Also I've been trying to ID him but I haven't found anything on him yet. Thanks for the help -Steven

Lawdog Posted July 24, 2016 Share #5 Posted July 24, 2016 That looks more like the tactical markings for equipment and personal effects (footlockers and duffel bags) used by soldiers involved in the invasion. AustinO Posted July 27, 2016 Share #6 Posted July 27, 2016 Some sort of dunnage marking for use on ship. APO 507 is Liverpool, England.
