Hi,

I have been offered this helmet and mask.

The seller wants $200 + shipping for it.

He says it is a KW helmet and mask.

What I want to know is what era and type are the helmet and mask.

The helmet with the mask is a P-1B modified to a P-4A. The mask is a MS-22001. USAF mid to late 1950s era.

 

The helmet with the reflective tape is a USN/USMC APH-6C with the Gentex dual visor kit. Modified from a APH-6A or APH-6B to APH-6C standards. 1970/1971 date at earliest with the upgrade. The mask would be the

MS-22001/A-13A with a hose end connector that varies due to type of aircraft/seat used. Looks like the

helmet is USMC from VMA(AW)-121 Green Knights. The mask hose end connector would be a green coated aluminum

quick disconnect type used with the GRU-5 ejection seat in the A-6 Intruder aircraft for this time frame.

as is, the mask is not interchangeable with the two helmets..
