Tail hook and instrument gauge

As a guess, I would say the tailhook is from the WWII-1950s era based on the design and primer/paint colors?

Are there any part numbers or other info on the hook?

The nut has AN 10...

I purchased the unknown hook from Robert a few years ago and I have finally been able to identify this hook. The hook is from a Grumman F8F Bearcat. It is actually a hook used for catapult launching from the deck of an aircraft carrier. It is located in each main landing gear wheel well and is used to hook the aircraft to the catapult via the launch bridle (cable).


Here is a picture of the Bearcat on the catapult and below is a couple of pictures of the hook visible in the Bearcat wheel well.
