Re photo #4 in post 21 - is it possible that this Soldier is wearing foreign medals? The drapes on them look Austrian or other European. I am working on a book about metal QMC insignia, and its nice to see these in use on a real person. Thanks for sharing. And no, I will not add the picture to my book (its already printing as we speak!). WANTED: I collect materials of any age related to the US Army Quartermaster Corps and from the long-defunct Commissary / Subsistence Corps.
