trenchrat1918 Posted July 23, 2016 Author Share #32 Posted July 23, 2016 Very cool banner, this must be late or post war. I have a bunch of brochures and paper work from this organization but nothing like that.

thebuzzardsloft Posted August 14, 2016 Share #36 Posted August 14, 2016 One of my favorite items in my collection is from World War I. A doughboy left this silky for his sweetheart..."To Miss Della Todino from William Donofrio. Has all the symbolism for the WWI doughboys.
Collector5516 Posted September 5, 2016 Share #37 Posted September 5, 2016 I posted this in the "Individual and Unit ID" section hoping to find out if I can identify this airborne trooper using the partial laundry number on the reverse. Any thoughts?

trenchrat1918 Posted September 6, 2016 Author Share #39 Posted September 6, 2016 reverse Hello that is a great banner with an exceptional photo. I had never considered that the number on the back could be part of a laundry number, I have always assumed that it was a stock or order number for the screen printer. I am currently not in a position to look at any of the photo banners in my collection but my memory says that most if not all of them have a 4 digit number printed on the back. Sorry I can't post any pictures for you right now, until I can this is just my unsubstantiated opinion. It would be very cool if it was a partial laundry number so we can identify some of these anonymous soldiers and sailors. Hopefully Mr. Jerry can chime in and give us his thoughts. Wes.
