Ran across this today.24th Bomb Squadron Guidon still attached to the staff.Little rough but it has been sitting in a garage for years.May try to give it a light cleaning. Not my real intrest but had to try and rescue it.

The staff is one piece and Im not sure if that helps with dating the item. The Guidon is tacked down to the staff on each end.

Nice piece, the 1pc poles are earlier, but I am not sure when they went to the 2pc.

I would guess WWII on it though. Nice piece.

If you decide to part with it LMK, I don't have any AAF in my collection.

Thanks for responding.

Too bad.

That's one thing that is not up to par about estate sales.

People who handle estate sales are only interested in making the most money possible from the items they are selling. This is what the family or whoever owns the stuff is interested in. Providing a "history", of anything that's being sold is not part of the equation. That's just the way it is boys.

Thanks

They turned up some stuff today from a Navigator.Named flight jackets, winter flight suit, helmet bag, jungle boots. Looked like he was a 200 mission B52 vet and served sometime in a Unit with FB111A .

Not sure uf this guidon was related or from another family member.
