Siamundo Posted July 14, 2016 Share #1 Posted July 14, 2016 I was hoping someone might be able to pinpoint the vintage or era of this VS 24 patch. I know there were a couple of different designs of patches the squadron wore and I am thinking this is an earlier version. It is about 4.5" high. northcoastaero Posted July 14, 2016 Share #2 Posted July 14, 2016 I would guess from the 1950s-1960s era? Here are some links: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/VS-24 http://vpnavy.org/vs24.html http://bluejacket.com/usn/insignia/av/vo-zp/vs24_a_insig.jpg bluejacket.com has an image of your patch. Siamundo Posted July 14, 2016 Author Share #3 Posted July 14, 2016 Thank you for the links, northcoastaero. The bluejackets site is a great reference source. I have it saved as a favorite and have referred to it many times over the last couple of years.

I may be able to narrow it down ................ Johnny
northcoastaero Posted July 15, 2016 Share #5 Posted July 15, 2016 VS-24 flew the AF-2S/AF-2W Guardian and the S2F Tracker during the 1950s-1960s.
