Dirk Posted July 13, 2016 #1 Posted July 13, 2016 This interesting item that came from a fellow forum member. I have seen this general style of plaque a few times before, and done in other metals. This example is in copper. It should have had a wooden backing that is now missing. It honors a long serving Marine, who along wth the rest of Butler's China Expedition was packing up to go Stateside after a year plus in China. The lettering on the plaque is raised as is the scrollwork around the edges.
