doyler Posted July 27, 2016 Share #11 Posted July 27, 2016 An older cousin to 1935 one.... Couple years ago a buddy and I took off on the motorcycles for a little sunday Labor Day weekend outdoor antique shoe held in a city park. Its about an 80 run.We pulled in and were looking for a parling spot and saw a space in a small parking lot by a bank.He was itching to hit the show but I spotes a sign off the parking lot that said"GARAGE SALE".I said lets go look.He wasnt really wanting too but walked over with me.We got in the garage and there was racks of name brand clothes, cook books, home decorating items and decor, silk flowers, candles,Mary Kay stuff. My buddy made a half sweep and out the door he went.I looked around and here this gem was sitting in the middle of all the chic-a-brac stuff. No price so I picked it up and asked.. "HOW MUCH"? the lady said 5 bucks....Gotta love garage sales with chic stuff. Brauer Brothers 1918 dated cover

Fausto Posted July 27, 2016 Share #13 Posted July 27, 2016 Hi guys ! Not as lucky as you, but I got this set - some years ago - on an online auction. No one bidded and I payed the starting price of $ 85 . Not too bad... I'm not in love with the hand written number nor with the cork-missing cap pf the canteen, but this set looks pretty good... Thanks ! Fausto

'Flage Guy Posted July 28, 2016 Share #18 Posted July 28, 2016 The last few weeks have seen a little spate of extremely cool Mounted Canteen rigs around here. The sets on this thread are some of the nicest I've ever seen. Here's one I got on Epay a little over a year ago; couldn't resist the early date of 1917...
