Cap Camouflage Pattern I Posted July 8, 2016 Author Share #32 Posted July 8, 2016 Mike Goodale, left and Jeff Young in Somalia after going out on a mission. Jeff young has a belt extender in use, both men have shoulder straps for something, perhaps radios. Both men have hand held microphones[What type?] and Goodale has a headset[What type?] Young has a telephone style hand set for a radio.[Why the redundancy with both men having 2 talking devices?] Both men have AN/PVS-7 NODs, Young does not have helmet mount so I assume they used the headband. sgtmonroe Posted July 8, 2016 Share #39 Posted July 8, 2016 Apparently the delta member 2nd from the left in the photo is Paul Howe. It is Paul Howe Notice the Square root of symbols[What are they? Remind me of led zeppelin ] It says "Venom" Another one of Delta in Somalia, the chest rigs being worn by 3 members on the right look to be AWS strike rigs as discussed here. Paul Howe is at the left, he has released this image with his face unobstructed as he is retired. He also released a lot of images of himself during his Delta days. Really great guy, got to train with him a few times and I've got a bunch of ammo he "gave" me. Can seem to part company with it ("fire" it). All still sitting in ammo cans. Cap Camouflage Pattern I Posted July 9, 2016 Author Share #49 Posted July 9, 2016 Here is Paul Howe with the face unblurred. Howe is the only one without pockets sewn to his sleeves, he has green velcro on both sleeves, 2nd from left has black velcro on both sleeves 3 and 4th from left both have tan velcro on at least one sleeve, and far right has black velcro with IR glint tape on both sleeves. 2nd and 3rd from left have cylinders rubber band'd to the magazine in their rifle.[What is that?] Paul Howe has something written on the rolled up part of his sleeve. The insides of the helmets are different colors. [What does the middle soldier have around his left boot?] Howe has a shotgun attached to his CAR-15 3 of them have flashlights attached to the bayonet lug of their rifle[What flashlights?]
