First time I think I've seen examples like those two pieces. I really like them. Kind of reminds me a little of some Richard Batson knives I've seen.

I have a hard time with the Musso type bowie with the brass spine being included in the grouping. While I suppose this standard reproduction form could have been sold in the 1960s-1970s, it appears in virtually pristine condition.

It's obvious that knife isn't a Special Forces issue knife, it's included in the group photo since it was part of his collection and I was too lazy to crop the image. As for its condition the owner did not use the knife for fighting hordes of NVA and Viet Cong insurgents, more likely it was just a gift. He's dead so I can't ask him unfortunately. Ed
