phillock Posted July 4, 2016 Share #1 Posted July 4, 2016 Hi all This documentary was made in 1975/76 behind the scenes of a Bridge too Far, This is a unique view which features excerpts from all the "stars" and Sir Richard Attenborough but also of the participating Generals , Major General Roy Urquhart, Major General James Gavin , LT General Brian Horrocks , Lt Colonel John Frost. It also shows how they brought together all the planning , vehicles , planes , soldiers, civilians into making the movie. Very good interesting watch. patches Posted May 5, 2017 Share #9 Posted May 5, 2017 Here's an intersting thing I just seen. Right, remember John Ratzenberger's character during the Waal crossing? he plays an officer, he also gets killed, remember, you can see it in the scene of this on YT, you see Ratzenberger getting hit with machine gun fire, to inclued one bullet in the face. Now as far as we know he was just an unanimous battalion officer, yet it turns out he was IDed in the movie's cast as one James Megellas, problem was he wasn't killed, as as far as we can tell not even wounded, or at least not like that, mulitple bullets wounds with one hitting him in the face. There's a goof there we should say. Megellas by the way is still around, he's 100 years old. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/James_Megellas
