Nic Posted July 3, 2016 Share #1 Posted July 3, 2016 I thought I would share a recent addition that I picked up and found interesting. It is a late 1980's HGU-55/P helmet with a PRU-36/P dual visor. This helmet was set up to use the PLZT/EEU-2/P Nuclear Flash Goggles. This type of helmet would of been used by B-52, F-111 and KC-135 crews in SAC. The "W" bracket on the top of the visor is missing, but the power cord for the goggles as been tucked underneath and is still wired. The MBU-12/P is missing the receptacle assembly, but otherwise appears complete.

Nic Posted July 3, 2016 Author Share #3 Posted July 3, 2016 Last one showing the tucked away power cord for the goggles. I've also added a photo of what it looked like complete in use.
