Hi guya and gals.

Does anyone the correct model of bag for a ww2 camp scene of the 36 gallon lyster bag?

Is there a ww2 model and a post ww2 model?

http://m.ebay.com/itm/WW2-War-Era-US-Lyster-36-Gallon-Canvas-Water-Bag-/262481721883?nav=WON&trxId=0

Is that the correct model for a ww2 setting?

Thanks, Scott

Fixbayonets!

Scott,

I would look for one that is WWII dated, I would assume they were also made post war. Here are a few photos of one I have dated 1945 for you to compare.

Hey lads. Bag arrived but the bit where the water pours out is white plastic. I feel that this isn't what they would have had during ww2.

Is this a correct assumption?

Quartermaster

The WW2 bags had black spigots as shown on the photo above and below.

The manufacturer and date should be stamped on inside (usually) or outside near the top.

Mine is marked Meese 1945.
