aerialbridge Posted June 25, 2016 Share #1 Posted June 25, 2016 Lest we not forget. In honor of all those who served under our flag with the allied UNC forces from June 25, 1950 to the armistice on July 27, 1953. And to the memory of the more than 35,000 US dead, 90,000 wounded and estimated 2.5 million civilian casualties. May they always be honored, never forgotten and have eternal peace. While South Koreans have adopted June 6 as their Memorial Day for the Korean War, the actual anniversary date of the Western calendar is also remembered with solemn reverence in South Korea and by older Korean-Americans and known as “Yuk Ei Oh Sabyun” - tragic, deadly war. http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/amex/macarthur/maps/koreatxt.html
