MT247 Posted June 24, 2016 Share #1 Posted June 24, 2016 Hi All, found these today and thought they were interesting. They seem to be enclosed in these plastic cases that were custom made for them. Not sure what they were used for, maybe display? They look fairly modern to me but not sure. Thanks Sent from my XT1030 using Tapatalk
tarbridge Posted June 24, 2016 Share #2 Posted June 24, 2016 Modern...a display example for ordering or buying?
Red Devil Posted June 24, 2016 Share #3 Posted June 24, 2016 Both modern production. I want to say I've seen these on displays or with figurines before, but I cannot remember exactly.
MT247 Posted June 24, 2016 Author Share #4 Posted June 24, 2016 Thanks for the replies. The cases are glued shut so I'm guessing they probably moved then around a lot for display? Sent from my XT1030 using Tapatalk
ocsfollowme Posted June 24, 2016 Share #5 Posted June 24, 2016 I echo red devil. I think these went with a GI Joe or other action figure.

B229 Posted June 24, 2016 Share #7 Posted June 24, 2016 I echo red devil. I think these went with a GI Joe or other action figure. Yup, that's exactly what they are. Modern repros that were included in GI Joe action figures of Omar Bradley (First Army) and George Patton (1st Armored Div). No idea why they chose 1st Armored for Patton, but it's a toy, so whatever. ocsfollowme Posted June 24, 2016 Share #8 Posted June 24, 2016 I want to say that the two tabs on the bottom allowed the patch to stand up behind the figure on the base which was a war torn battle scene.

Not exactly war torn, but yeah otherwise you are correct.

MT247 Posted June 24, 2016 Author Share #11 Posted June 24, 2016 Great, thanks everyone. I guess I could already just put them up on eBay as original WW2 professional graded SSI patches cut from battle torn uniforms Sent from my XT1030 using Tapatalk
