CHASEUSA11B Posted June 18, 2016 Share #1 Posted June 18, 2016 Hello everyone, I just picked up this Aussie made jacket dated 1943. Unfortunately it is very heavily mothed and has a good sized hole. The seller intended to remove the patch from the jacket and throw it away. Fortunately they let me buy it in tact for a little extra shipping. I know it's more damaged than I lot of people like, but I've never owned an Austrslian jacket with a 1st Cav patch and I'm a sucker for cross stitching. Thanks for looking! patches Posted June 18, 2016 Share #5 Posted June 18, 2016 Interesting piece, yeah too bad on the mothing, can be sure just yet, but Cav patch looks Japanese made. You can take a look HERE to see variants.
CHASEUSA11B Posted June 18, 2016 Author Share #6 Posted June 18, 2016 Thanks for the infrest patches. I have a good variety of Cav patches from ww2 and in hand it looks like a us made patch to me. The jacket and stitching kind of distort the shape in these photos.
hardheaded Posted June 18, 2016 Share #7 Posted June 18, 2016 Good save. I've had jackets in worse condition.
