tfhiii Posted June 7, 2016 Share #1 Posted June 7, 2016 I have a WWII shovel that appears to have once been property of the Forest service, due to it being painted red. Overall, its in nice condition. The cover is interesting in that it is marked MBGS 2. Does anyone have an idea what that stands for? Thanks for your help. PeleliuMarine1944 Posted December 28, 2016 Share #3 Posted December 28, 2016 What you have is a nice Depot made USMC shovel cover!
robinb Posted December 29, 2016 Share #4 Posted December 29, 2016 That's not a depot made USMC cover. I can see the US in the center behind the stains. It's a pre WW1 cover in pea green.
