kammo-man Posted July 26, 2018 Share #159 Posted July 26, 2018 Remember the vn rangers were told to stop painting their helmets crazy because the enemy were leaving the battlefield when the rangers deployed Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
anton67 Posted July 26, 2018 Share #160 Posted July 26, 2018 I hear you. I am just saying that calling them "camo" helmets seems odd. I do appreciate the compliments however. I am not trying to be negative. Thank you all again for the kind comments. Thank you too Mike.
kammo-man Posted July 27, 2018 Share #161 Posted July 27, 2018 On the surface its odd. But as a morale booster its priceless.
USARV72 Posted July 27, 2018 Share #162 Posted July 27, 2018 Arvin Rangers were bad azzes for the most part. Sweat band and suspension in any of these liners/ helmets? One look or sniff will give idea if its real.
Blacksmith Posted July 27, 2018 Share #163 Posted July 27, 2018 Similar - and part of the reason - that the Samurai put such elaborate crests on their helmets - they believed if it distracted or intimidated their opponent for even a moment, it gave them the initiative on the battlefield. Gunny Hathcock reportedly wore a white feather in his boonie - I guess he figured if you were close enough to see it, you were already dead. On the surface its odd. But as a morale booster its priceless.

anton67 Posted July 29, 2018 Share #165 Posted July 29, 2018 Intimidation factor which is sort of the opposite of camo. Either way this is one of the coolest helmets I own.
