Not to jump the thread as we can start our own easy enough here’s a liner with the same non cammo Cammo colors in typical 65-66 ARvN fashion

Remember the vn rangers were told to stop painting their helmets crazy because the enemy were leaving the battlefield when the rangers deployed

I hear you. I am just saying that calling them "camo" helmets seems odd.

I do appreciate the compliments however.

I am not trying to be negative.

Thank you all again for the kind comments.

Thank you too Mike.

Arvin Rangers were bad azzes for the most part. Sweat band and suspension in any of these liners/ helmets? One look or sniff will give idea if its real.

Similar - and part of the reason - that the Samurai put such elaborate crests on their helmets - they believed if it distracted or intimidated their opponent for even a moment, it gave them the initiative on the battlefield.

Gunny Hathcock reportedly wore a white feather in his boonie - I guess he figured if you were close enough to see it, you were already dead.

On the surface its odd.

But as a morale booster its priceless.
