A US Navy TAFT Team Iran patch

Happy Monday all,
I hope everyone is enjoying a safe Memorial Day Holiday.

 

Here is a recent find,a patch made for the Technical Assistance Field Teams(TAFT) Iran.It is very large,around 6 inches across,and is not plastic backed.It dates from the 70's.

These Teams were set up to advise and assist Irans Military with the weapons systems that were purchased from the US.The Teams left around the time that the Shah was ousted.

 

The Teams were relatively small,so I'm thinking that there weren't many of these patches made.

 

I haven't been able to find much info about the TAFT Iran Teams,if I find more I'll post it here.If anyone has any additional info to add,please feel free to do so.
