I am pleased to have recently acquired this nice paperwork and uniforms grouping to veteran of the 6th Marine Division. Veteran of Guam and Okinawa.

Several nice uniforms and tons of paperwork. The vet was active in the 6th Division Association after the war, and he prepared a nice history of his wartime service.

He was a tremendous athlete in college earning All-American honors in football and basketball at a small college. Worked in school administration after the war.

Hopefully these photos will tell the story. I will start with a few photos and a diary.

Does anyone here know if, or what a 6th division UNIS grouping would look like for a navy corpsman on okinawa?

Incredible grouping. I enjoy seeing 6th Marine Division groups and uniforms, especially from Okinawa vets.

I have a beautiful Navy Corpsman uniform in my collection that was assigned to the 6th Marine Division. The uniform is standard pattern WWII Marine with the 6th SSI under which is a Navy pattern rating but in Marine green with red cross and two red stripes. If you wish to see a photo, go to Jumpin Jacks Collection. Hope this helps. Jack

Great grouping. Very complete group. I've yet to pick up a grouping with that much paper with it!
